Why You Need a Grooming Table for Your SPhynx Cat!
Why You Need a Grooming Table for Your SPhynx Cat!
If you’ve been struggling to wrangle your wiggly little Sphynx cat during grooming time or find yourself hunched over in awkward positions just trying to clip a nail or clean some ears, it might be time to treat yourself (and your back) to a grooming table.
Let me tell you about mine and explain why I truly believe it’s one of the best investments I’ve ever made for my pets' care.
My Grooming Table Setup
I bought my grooming table for around $150, and honestly, it’s been worth every single penny. It holds up to 250 lbs, so it’s incredibly sturdy whether I’m grooming my Sphynx cat Stubbin or my standard poodle, it handles them both with ease.
One of my favorite features is the overhead bar with built-in eyelets. This makes it super simple to hang my pet grooming sling, which makes life SO much easier. Stubbin’s little legs go through the loops, his head pokes out the front and his butt goes out the back. He’s suspended safely and comfortably, which lets me groom him easily.
All of the parts are adjustable so you can change the height to suit your needs, and it even comes with a handy wire basket underneath for storage. I like to keep extra cat blankets there for quick access. But these baskets could also be the perfect place to keep all your RenewedPet grooming essentials - like our ear cleaner, nail and paw cleaner, booty wash, reusable pet wipes, and eyewash.
And yes, the whole table folds down for easy storage if you don’t want to keep it set up full-time. But for me, I’ve dedicated a small corner of my office as our “grooming station,” and it’s honestly made our weekly grooming routine feel so much more manageable and efficient.
Why It’s So Worth It
Before I had this table, grooming Stubbin or Bailey meant trying to do everything on the floor, which was a fast track to back pain. Now, grooming is faster, easier, and way less stressful for me and my pets.
If you’re grooming your Sphynx regularly (and you should be!), a table like this can truly make the process smoother, safer, and even more enjoyable. It keeps your cat secure, prevents slipping, and gives you the proper height to work comfortably and effectively.
