• Skin Irritation: Allergic reactions in skinny pigs often manifest as skin problems. Look out for redness, itching, flakiness, or rashes on their skin. Remember, hairless pets do not have the fur that would typically protect them from these sorts of things and spraying things into the air around your skinny’s cage can result in their skin absorbing harmful toxins. In this regard, take care in choosing your own grooming products. Anything you spray or rub onto your body may be transferred to your skinny pig when you play with or cuddle them.

• Parasites: External parasites like mites or lice can cause skin issues and discomfort for skinny pigs. Although this isn't an allergy in the traditional sense, it's essential to consider parasites as a potential cause of skin problems and get them treated right away.
