Are Your Cleaning Products TOXIC to Your Cat?

As a pet owner, you should be aware of how everything in your home affects your pets. A very important thing to consider is your cleaning products

Most people, at least in the US, are using cleaning products that are loaded with synthetic chemicals. It is important to avoid these chemicals, so let’s look at how they affect your pets and how you can avoid that.

How Pets Encounter Synthetic Chemicals

When you spray or apply cleaners in your home, a little bit of those chemicals are put into the air. Not only is this not great for your own body, but also heavily affects your pets.

Not only do they inhale these chemicals, but they may also interact with fabrics, surfaces, and even floors that have been covered in these cleaners. Then when they lick their paws, as most pets do, they ingest these dangerous chemicals.

What Synthetic Chemicals Does To Your Pets

Over time, these chemicals can cause significant damage to your pet. In fact, they have been scientifically proven as one of the leading causes of metabolic illnesses and even cancer in our pets. Even worse, these effects compound over time, so the longer they are exposed, the more they are at risk.

Alternative Cleaners

Thankfully, you can still switch to a better cleaning system, even if your pet has been exposed already. Better late than never! I highly recommend a plant-based cleaner, like my personal favorite Branch Basics.
Branch is safe for you, your children, and your pets, and can be used on everything in your home. And I do mean everything: it’s so safe it can be used as a vegetable cleaner!
