We all want to make sure that our pets stay health and avoid illnesses whenever possible. However, did you know that if you focus only on the immune system, you may be missing out on important preventative measures?
Science Says Check the Gut
Science is now showing that 80% of our pets' immune system functions are derived from their gut systems. With more of our pets traveling to various places and being exposed to new illnesses regularly, it's more important than ever before to make sure their immune systems are strong. So what can you do?
Healthy Diet, Healthy Pet
The first step is your pet's diet. A fresh, raw, balanced diet is the best option for your pets. If you can't manage a raw diet, a fresh, cooked diet is the second best option! Either way, make sure their diet is free of all the common allergens: corn, wheat, soy, and gluten.
Also make sure to give your pets a daily probiotic and digestive enzyme. These will both work in their gut and, with a well-balanced diet, will give them the healthy gut that keeps their immune system functioning properly!
