Unfortunately, in today’s society there are many, MANY different toxins that your pet may be exposed to on a daily basis! In fact, recent studies have shown that pets are detecting anywhere from 50 to 80 different chemicals in their bodies at any given time! These chemicals all come from different exposures, so it’s important to pay attention to our pet’s environment.
A Variety of Sources
A lot of modern companies try to create a product for the cheapest price, and sometimes it’s health-risking toxins that they turn to! Pay close attention to the cat litter you use, (click here for my top recommended toxin-free cat litters) the cleaning products you use and any product that your pet is exposed to. Air fresheners and certain essential oils can also be incredibly toxic for your pet.
Feed Quality Food
Another common exposure to toxins is through your dog’s food. Ensure the food you feed your pet is made with quality, all natural and whole food ingredients. The safest way to know your pet's food is free of toxins is if it is labeled 'human-grade' ingredients. Often, lesser quality food is filled with artificial fillers that contain toxins. Always check the ingredients in your pet’s food!
