Did you know that some meat proteins are actually better for your pets than others?
The Problem With Certain Proteins
Proteins like fish and chicken that are fed continually can actually lead to some pretty significant health problems in your pets.
Chicken can cause widespread inflammation from too many Omega-6 acids, while fish can lead to things like urinary tract issues and even thyroid issues in your pets.
The Importance of Variety
To ensure your pet doesn’t develop any health issues from meat, the key is to do a balanced rotation of different proteins.
You should offer different poultry items four to five times a week, red meat once a week, and fish once a week.
To spice things up, you can add more exotic proteins in your pet’s diet about once a week. This can include things like:
Rabbit
Elk
Venison
Emu
Gator
Beaver
