How To Build Your Cat's Confidence!
Did you know that boosting your cat’s confidence is one of the best things you can do for their health?
Let me guide you through the steps to help your kitty release their inner lion and strut their stuff with swagger - it’s time to turn your timid kitty into a bona fide cool cat.
One of the leading ways to make your cat act and feel more confident is to play with them. Focused interaction with you during playtime with toys and touch is hands down the best way to create a confident kitty. This is because good play sessions help to mimic the natural “prey, stalk, kill” instinct that your cat has to hunt and kill their prey in the wild. This in turn boosts their confidence because what is better for them than the belief that they can stalk, hunt and give themselves a good meal for dinner.
To make this playtime most effective, you should have a range of different toys that you alternate during play sessions to keep your kitty actively engaged and interested. In my experience, this is the best cat toy and it is one of Charlie and Stubbin’s favorite things to play with - you can get one here. It's a good idea to get multiple different attachments for the wand so playtime can be variable.
Other things you can do for your cat’s confidence are
- walks in a cat stroller
- walking outside on a harness or leash
- going for short car rides
- Going outside in a kitty backpack (if they like that)
Just like us humans, when your cat’s confidence levels are higher, their mental and emotional health is better, their behavior is better too.
It’s really important that you focus some time each day on activities to work on your cat’s confidence so their health can thrive.
Keep giving your pets the best of natural life!
